About me…
Hi, I’m Hannah — a forager, wild crafter and nature connection guide based in a small village where Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire meet. I live beside a beautiful stretch of the Chesterfield Canal and spend my free time gathering plants, tending my allotment, crafting from nature, and trying to live a slower, more sustainable life — one rooted in kindness, creativity and connection.
Experience & Qualifications
Over the past 17+ years, I’ve worked in woodlands and community green spaces as a Ranger, helping people of all ages and backgrounds connect with nature — through practical conservation sessions, environmental education, wellbeing events, forest school and bushcraft days.
I’m a qualified teacher, certified mindfulness and breathwork instructor, Forest School leader and bushcraft practitioner. I’ve completed additional training in therapeutic outdoor leadership, woodcraft for wellbeing, and nature health facilitation.
My foraging practice is rooted in over 20 years of hands-on experience, supported by countless in-person and online courses. I’m currently deepening this journey through the Crafty Herbalist Academy and a Wild Medicine Mastery course as I’m fascinated about the healing properties of plants too.
My bookshelves are overflowing with resources on wild food, fermentation, hedgerow medicine and nature-inspired crafts - I love it all!
Work & Collaborations
I’ve had the privilege of delivering workshops and events for organisations including Forestry England, The National Trust, The Conservation Volunteers, The Land Trust, and Mind. I currently lead monthly Wild Wellbeing sessions across South Yorkshire’s community woodlands and run the occasional foraging walk and workshop.
My Approach
Whether it’s guiding a seasonal foraging walk, making wild remedies, or holding space for gentle connection to the land, my work is all about helping others slow down, get inspired, and reconnect with the gifts growing all around us.
I believe that when we connect with the natural world — through food, craft or quiet noticing — we deepen our connection to ourselves, to each other, and to the seasons we’re part of.
